Math & Science Journals Part II

Began the math journals with my middle school resource center math class today by decorating the cover with a "Math About Us" theme....

I am requiring the students to make a cover that has pictures, math problems, and numbers that represent them.

As you can see, my sample includes #'s related to: family members, age, height, number of letters in my name, favorite number, sports, instruments, pets, traveling

I use interactive notebooks for my middle and high school classes and loved your Numbers About Me theme for the cover!

This summer I used it with 14-17 year olds and they had a great time with it.

I posted about it here:

I'm really bummed that I can't see your cover, I can only view the text. I've tried your blog in 3 different browsers, so I don't think it's my computer or anything. Your photots on other posts show up, so I don't know why I can't see the cover! Could you re-post the photo?

Jes, I cannot see the journal covers on this blog either. I've also tried several browsers. Sarah, I can see your cover just fine on your blog.

Yea, I can see the covers on http://everybodyisageniusblog.blogspot.com/2012/07/interactive-notebooks.html

But I can't see them on the Middle School Survival Guide site. It's wierd because I can see them as little thumbnails when I go to different posts, like part 3, but I can't see the full size image to understand what she's talking about.

Thanks for the compliment of linking up, Sarah! I loooove your version of the cover! I am going to copy some of the ideas for next years version :)

I'm sorry you girls can't see the journal picture on my site anymore.......I actually removed the picture because I have been trying to contact pinterest for 3 months, asking them to remove pins of it...I don't like my picture/name being out there on that site. (When I first wrote this blog, my blog was private and pinterest didn't exist yet.) They have not responded and it looks like my next step will be blocking all graphics on pinterest (if that is even still possible). It's one of the reasons I have taken a hiatus from blogging this summer...very frustrated.

Thanks, I hope it was ok to link over here, I wanted to make sure you got the credit for your awesomeeee idea!

I'm so sorry to hear about Pinterest :( I had pinned it before when the image was still up and I made sure to just go delete the pin so that it's gone now (from my boards at least).
