About Me

About Me

Teaching Experience:
In my ten years of teaching, I have taught middle school science, middle school math, middle school language arts, and middle school social studies as both a regular educator and a special educator.

Throughout my career, I have consistently challenged myself to diversify my teaching and leadership experiences to best prepare myself for a future in curriculum leadership and believe that blogging and creating educational materials are a positive step in my journey.

Additional Experience: My additional experiences also include: teaching special education extended school year, home instruction, tutoring, working as an academic dean, a principalship internship, and writing curriculum in the content areas of math, science, LA, and GATE.

I hold a dual certification of special education (K-12) and regular education (K-8).  I earned a masters in school leadership and administration and hold certifications for supervisory and principalship positions.

I developed this blog in August 2011 to share ideas, collaborate, and be inspired by a widespread community of creative and passionate teachers.
