Do you have the HIB?

Well, if you've read the news lately, you would know that us New-Jerseyans are ironing out how to implement programs and procedures to enforce our new
Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights.

This "Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying Law (aka HIB)" requires schools to develop and implement policies and action plans to prevent, remediate, and report HIB. (And it's kind of a big deal.)

I find it very interesting to see how different schools are approaching and interpreting the new law.

Wouldn't it be cool to kick-off an anti-bullying program for the students with a flash mob for awareness?

This video was shared at a two-day Olweus Bullying Training I just went to.  Two schools from Vancouver, BC came together at a local mall to create a message about Acceptance and use social-media as a positive tool.  Great stuff.

I have been working on some student-centered activities regarding anti-bullying
which I plan to be creating and sharing over the next few weeks...

Please comment below if you've posted anything similar...I'd love to see it!

We are actually using the same curriculum for our bullying lessons on my campus. I had not seen this video before. I love it and already have an idea brewing in my head to do with it. I cannot wait to see what bullying activities you have in mind!

@ Katie- I'm so glad the video could help you! That is great you are using the same program!

I want to make a linky party soon for anti-bullying to get some more ideas. I haven't seen too many posts out there but found this one over at Lesson Plans and Lattes:
